The F.R.O.S.T Programme (renamed from the Reduction Opiate programme) offers cognitive behavioural therapy care planning, key-working, counselling, motivational interviewing, holistic treatments, drop-in, and supports for service users, giving them confidence to move from drug orientated destructive behaviour and address their addiction in a safe environment, the service user needs to reduce their methadone down to 80 mils to access this programme.

The FROST Programme is the first step to provide rehabilitation to over 18 years of age to detox and or reduce their methadone use.

Arc’s FROST Programme will be for a maximum of (10) service users and (2) Support Workers, you will need to be on 80mls of methadone and be referred by your Doctor.

The essence of the Frost Programme is to support people while they reduce their methadone but it is also to teach participants the life skills to cope with everyday highs and lows, to build self- confidence and self- belief to enable people to function as a drug free person in today’s society.

 

The programme is voluntary and is held each week day from 11am to 2.30pm.  The programme is designed to meet the needs and support service users over a 12 month period, while service users reduce their methadone.
